INSERITO DA MORENA MOTTA Otto morti e 400 feriti. E' l'ultimo bilancio diffuso dal ministero della Salute afghano dopo l'attacco sferrato nella notte con un camion bomba a Kabul. Il portavoce Wahidullah Mayar ha precisato che tutti i feriti, tra i quali donne e bambini, sono civili. Le forze di sicurezza afghane, riferisce la tv locale Tolo, hanno fatto sapere che ci sono feriti tra i militari, ma non hanno diffuso alcun bilancio ufficiale.

Altre fonti parlano di almeno dieci morti. L'attacco, che sinora non è stato rivendicato, è stato messo a segno nell'area di Shah Shahid, nella zona occidentale della città. La forte esplosione ha danneggiato decine di edifici e auto. I tetti di alcune case sono crollati, così come una palazzina in costruzione. Secondo alcune fonti ci sarebbero ancora persone sotto le macerie.

Abdul Rahman Rahimi, capo della polizia di Kabul ha detto all'agenzia di stampa Dpa, che l'intento di un simile attacco poteva essere solo quello di provocare un alto numero di vittime civili. L'obiettivo, stando a un funzionario citato dalla stessa Dpa, era una base dell'unità di intelligence dell'Esercito afghano, che secondo gli abitanti di Kabul si trova in un quartiere povero della città.

Secondo l'ultimo rapporto delle Nazioni Unite sul conflitto in Afghanistan, da gennaio a giugno sono rimasti uccisi o feriti cinquemila civili, il bilancio più grave dal 2009.

Ieri almeno sei persone, tra le quali tre civili e tre militari, sono morte in un attacco simile contro le forze di sicurezza afghane e uffici governativi a Pul-i Alam, nella strategica provincia di Logar, a sud di Kabul. In questo caso è arrivata la rivendicazione dei Talebani, movimento che appare sempre più diviso dopo la conferma della morte del mullah Omar e la nomina del successore mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansur.

According to the latest UN report on the conflict in Afghanistan, from January to June they were killed or wounded five civilians, the worst since the 2009 budget.
Yesterday, at least six people, including three civilians and three soldiers were killed in a similar attack against Afghan security forces and government offices in Pul-e Alam, in the strategic province of Logar, south of Kabul. Here came the claim of the Taliban, a movement that is increasingly divided after the confirmation of the death of Mullah Omar and the appointment of Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour.
