INSERITO DA MORENA MOTTA Londra - La matrigna e la sorella di Osama bin Laden sono morte nello schianto di un jet privato saudita nel sud dell'Inghilterra. Nell'incidente, avvenuto nel sud dell'Inghilterra, hanno perso la vita anche un altro passeggero e il pilota, che stava tentando un atterraggio nell'aeroporto di Blackbushe nell'Hampshire. "Abbiamo visto l'aereo andare in fiamme" ha detto un testimone dell'incidente. Il velivolo e' quindi esploso all'impatto con il suolo vicino a un sito di aste per auto.

L'Embraer Phemon 300 apparteneva alla famiglia bin Laden (originaria dello Yemen ma poi trafsferitasi in Arabia Saudita dove Mohamed, il padre di Osama, fondo' un impero nel settore delle costruzioni). Il numero di serie del velivolo caduto oggi HZ-IBN ero lo stesso di un altro aereo dei bin Laden precipitato nel 1967. Il jet apparteneva alla Salem Aviation ribattezzato cosi' quando il fratello maggiore di Osama mori' su un altro aero finito contro le linee dell'alta tensione a San Antonio in Texas nel 1988. Sul bimotore precipitato la notte scorsa erano in 4: il pilota giordano, la matrigna e la sorella del fondatore di al Qaeda piu' un'altra persona. Secondo la polizia si e' trattato di un incidente e non di un attentato. L'ambasciata saudita a Londra ha inviato le proprie condoglianze alla famiglia bin Laden.

Secondo la societa' AvGen Limited che monitora gli aerei che arrivano e decollano da Heathrow, i loro rilevatori hanno intercettato i dati del velivolo. Il bimotore si sarebbe avvicinato normalmente alla pista di Blackbushe a un'altezza di circa 400 metri per poi effettuare una repentina impennata di 175 metri e quindi iniziare a precipitare perdendo quota ad una velocita' impressionate, 1.000 metri al minuto, ed quindi e' stata questione di secondi.
